All about our menu
Our kitchen team here at Discovery Village work hard to bring you good, fresh wholesome food and we hope you love our cafe menu. We take allergies and intolerances seriously and do everything we can to make sure that your visit is a fun, healthy and safe one.
Please be aware that whilst we take every care when sourcing, handling, preparing and serving our food due to the nature and layout of our kitchen we cannot guarantee that any of our products may not contain traces of allergens.
Please speak to our team when purchasing your food to ensure that we do our very best to avoid cross contamination. We have a full allergens matrix at our serving point detailing all ingredients and key allergens.

Keeping your family and safe
When making us aware of an allergy or intolerance our team put measures in place to make sure that we do everything we can to keep your family safe. We use purple chopping boards, knives and tongs in our kitchen to limit contamination. We use separate tongs for our gluten free cakes and we have different coloured milk jugs at our coffee machine point for dairy, soya and oat milk.
When preparing food for people with allergies and intolerances our team fully clean and disinfect the work area, wear disposable gloves and make sure that any utensils are cleaned before use. We put additional measures in place such as cooking gluten free toasties inside greaseproof paper to minimise allergen contamination.
Everything in our kitchen is sourced from reputable suppliers who work closely with us to ensure that we are notified of any ingredient changes in their recipes.
A unique menu for our unique guests
Where possible we source products that are suitable for all. Did you know our brioche buns are vegan; perfect for those with dairy intolerances or allergies to eggs. Our pesto is vegan too! All of our bread is sourdough and for those who have an intolerance to gluten we have you covered too, with gluten free bread ready to go! With the exception of our delicious gluten free carrot cake, and our healthy musli nothing we serve contains nuts or peanuts and we have not one, not two but three dairy free cake options!
Whilst we love cheese, we understand that others can’t so we always stock vegan cheese and are more than happy to substitute anything where possible.

Dairy is everywhere, but rest assured we are doing everything we can to make it easy for those who are trying to avoid the moo!
- the buttery spread we use is vegan (Vitalite to be exact) and it’s blooming tasty
- we use sour dough bread for our toast and toasties
- we have vegan cheese and are more than happy to substitute
- hot chocolate and spray cream? No problems – we have a vegan whip ready for you
- We stock a vegan hot chocolate
- oat milk and soya milk substitutes are available
- our tomato and basil soup is vegan
- we stock a selection of dairy free cakes
Gluten’s a tricky one but we’ve got this!
- we stock gluten free bread
- we have a delicious gluten free carrot cake
- our flapjacks are gluten free, using gluten free oats
- we cook our gluten free toasties in greaseproof paper to limit contamination
- we stock a packet gluten free millionaire shortbread
- our children’s crisps including pom bears are gluten free
For those avoiding egg, we offer a range of vegan treats and food options and toasties can be cooked in greaseproof paper to avoid contamination
- our vegan soup with artisan sourdough bread
- vegan rocky road, flapjacks and biscoff donuts are all egg free
- our brioche buns are vegan
Pesky peanuts and cheeky cashews, it’s Nuts! We do everything we can to avoid nuts in our recipes.
- only our carrot cake and musli contain nuts
- we do not use peanuts in any of our products
Some of our cakes and products may contain soya. Please speak to a member of staff to see our allergen matrix

- our coffee machine steam and is disinfected after making soya based drinks

- our sourdough bread is soya free
For those with other allergens and intolerances please speak to our team. Molluscs, lupin, crustaceans, mustard, sesame, celery and sulphites may feature in some of our products and ingredients. Our allergen matrix will give you all the information you need to make informed decisions.
