Looking for Halloween events in Bournemouth that are designed especially for younger children? This Halloween, Discovery Village is welcoming a brand-new performer-led adventure as Professor Fizzle and the BRAVE Machine take over our role play village!
Created especially for children aged 1–8, our Halloween experience is packed with imaginative play, interactive activities, music and plenty of Halloween fun, without the scares.
Professor Fizzle is a brilliant inventor. Unfortunately, they are also rather clumsy and frightened of almost everything Halloween brings with it. Spiders, ghosts, strange noises and long dark nights are definitely not Professor Fizzle’s idea of fun!
Luckily, Fizzle has a genius plan. Build a robot called BRAVE to help overcome those fears.
There’s just one problem. Halloween has arrived and BRAVE is nowhere near finished!
Can You Help Bring BRAVE to Life?
During their two-hour Discovery Village play session, children will help Professor Fizzle complete their greatest invention.
They’ll search around the village for missing robot components using special UV lighting, help give BRAVE their wonderfully furry appearance and follow a Halloween trail to discover ten different things that people might find frightening.
Finally, every child will receive a glowing Power Cell for a special energy-charging dance. If they can generate enough power, BRAVE might just come to life!
Alongside the fun is a gentle message about what being brave really means.
Children will discover that everyone is different. Something one person finds scary might not worry somebody else at all. Being brave doesn’t mean we never feel frightened. It can mean asking for help, telling a trusted adult when something doesn’t feel right, being kind to somebody who is worried or speaking up for someone else.
A Scare-Free Halloween for Younger Children
Our Halloween story has been designed to be playful rather than frightening. There are no jump scares, with Halloween characters and themes presented in a fun and child-friendly way.
As always, children will also have plenty of time to explore all nine role play areas, enjoy a Halloween story with Professor Fizzle, dance, play and use their imaginations.
And because it wouldn’t be Halloween without a treat, every paying child will receive a chocolatey treat as they leave, with dairy-free and gluten-free options available.
Best of all, our Halloween sessions are the same price as our standard play sessions.

What to Expect at Our Halloween Event
Your visit lasts two hours and includes plenty of time for children to explore all nine of our immersive role play areas alongside our special Halloween adventure.
Professor Fizzle will appear throughout the session to lead children through four interactive activities as they work together to finish BRAVE the robot.
Children will:
• Search Discovery Village for BRAVE’s missing components using special UV lights
• Help give BRAVE their wonderfully furry new appearance
• Follow a Halloween trail around the village and discover things different people might find scary
• Receive a glowing Power Cell and take part in our energy-charging dance to bring BRAVE to life
Once fully charged, BRAVE will wake up and speak to the children through the screen built into their face!
The adventure finishes with a Halloween story, tidy-up song, goodbye dance and, of course, a Discovery Village sticker.
Every paying child will also receive a chocolatey Halloween treat as they leave. Dairy-free and gluten-free options are available.
Our Halloween story is completely optional. Children are always welcome to watch, join in as much or as little as they like, or simply continue enjoying the role play village.
How to Book Halloween at Discovery Village
Our Halloween adventure is included within selected Discovery Village play sessions and, unlike many Halloween events for children, there is no additional event premium. Tickets are the same price as our standard play sessions.

Discovery Village is located in Christchurch, Dorset, within easy reach of Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding area. Free on-site parking is available for our customers.
