Community Starts With Me
At Discovery Village, our June story celebrates the magic of community, and who better to lead the way than our wonderfully quirky art teacher, Inky Doodle! As part of our School Fair adventure, Inky is inspiring children to discover how creativity and kindness can bring people together and spread joy far and wide.
We’re inviting families to take part by nominating a local charity, school, or community group that means something to them. It’s a simple way to show children that even the smallest gesture, like putting someone forward for a special treat, can make a big difference.
Each week, one nominated group will be chosen to enjoy a free visit to Discovery Village during our June Play Sessions. It’s our way of celebrating the amazing people and organisations that help our communities thrive.

Who makes a difference in your world? It could be a kind neighbour who runs a children’s charity, a much-loved Rainbows or Beavers group, a dedicated SEND provision, or a local school that goes above and beyond for its pupils. Maybe it’s a small community project, a support group, or a team of volunteers who bring people together.
