Celebrate your child’s special day with a stress-free, joy-filled birthday party at Discovery Village! Our expert party hosts will take care of everything, making a fuss of the birthday child and their guests with engaging entertainment and fun-filled activities.
Our party packages are designed to take the pressures of organising away from you so that you can spend quality time with your little one and their friends as they enjoy their special day. We only ever have space for one party per play session ensuring that your little one is the centre of attention.
Both our packages include delicious party food, special touches such as a gift and card for the birthday child and a cupcake tower with candles for those who don’t wish to bring their own cake.
What’s more, there is space in our beautifully themed woodland cafe where adults can relax and enjoy the celebration too. A variety of food and drinks are available for purchase.
What to expect at a Discovery Village Birthday Party
From the moment your little one arrives we want them to feel VIP. You’ll be greeted by one of our wonderful team who will show you to your party table where your party guests will eat and also where they can leave any gifts for the birthday child.
Every party guest gets a special Discovery VIllage name sticker – this helps our performers interact with the party guests and tells everyone else that they are VIP’s inside our role play village. With coats and shoes off it’s into the play village to explore, play and join our live performers for songs dance and our story of the day.
At a suitable point in the story, the performer will line up the birthday child and their guests and lead them to the party table for food and drinks. Once the little ones are fed, our live performer will encourage everyone to sing happy birthday before everyone returns to the village for more imaginative play.
As the session comes to an end, everyone helps with our infamous tidy up song before popping on their shoes and saying goodbye.
Children’s party food
Our children’s party package includes a delicious selection of mini brioche rolls, crips, fruit and vegetables platters and sweet treats (as it is a party after all). Party Food is inspired by the colours of the rainbow and designed to intrigue children and encourage them to try new things. From vegetable sticks and dips to the all-time party favourites our chef’s put on a buffet that all of your party children will love. To top it off our cupcake tower with vanilla and chocolate cupcakes makes the perfect centrepiece complete with candles for the main event!
Here at Discovery Village we take allergies and intolerances extremely seriously. If any of your party guests have any special dietary requirements please let our team know when they reach out and we’ll ensure that everyone is catered for.
Our village cafe serves a selection of drinks, cakes, snacks and hot food for adults.

It’s the little details that make this different to any where else we have booked. Chris was helpful and welcoming.
All the kids get name badges, the table for food was beautiful and cute in equal measures. There was even a present and card from them for my daughter which was a real lovely touch. Food was lovely and they catered for all.

From a unique Discovery Village birthday gift, to one of our delicious rainbow birthday cakes, even if you just want to add a little something to make your child’s party unique we have the solution for you. Optional extras can be added at the point of booking.
FAQ’s about our birthday parties
Yes, all children entering Discovery Village require a ticket. Siblings will need to be counted within the party capacity if they wish to attend as a party guest. If not a standard ticket can be purchased through our website. Please note that only children with a ticket are permitted to enter Discovery Village. Children over 12 who will not use the play area may be classed as an adult.
Children’s birthday parties can be booked via our website. Click the book button at the top of this page and follow the instructions.
Optional extras can be added during the booking process through our online booking system or by letting us know by phone. Already booked and want to add on optional extra? No problems, please contact one of our friendly team by phone and they’ll be able to amend your booking.
Our birthday parties last for two hours which includes unlimited fun within our role play village. During your party session your party host will call all your guests back to your party table where your child and their guests can enjoy their party food.
Our party package includes a colourful cold-food buffet consisting of three different types of sandwich, low salt, oven baked crisps, cut fruit, vegetable sticks and some sweet treats. We try to get a good balance of healthy and fun for your party guests.
We pride ourselves on the village not being overcrowded. This gives all of our little visitors the opportunity to play and explore at a pace that is right for them. We do offer additional adult tickets, this prices covers the cost of the reduction in capacity of children’s tickets.
Our village performers just love a birthday and can’t wait to shout about it. We’ll let everyone know it’s someone’s special day and the team will encourage everyone to get involved with our birthday song.
Your party host will greet you as you and your guests arrive at Discovery Village and guide you to your beautifully themed party table in our cafe area. At a suitable time during the play session your host will deliver your children’s food to the table and encourage your party guests to pause the play and have a bite to eat.
Absolutely! Anyone booking one of our party packages is more than welcome to bring their own birthday cake. We understand that birthday cakes are a personal part of any child’s birthday party. Please be mindful of allergens and display any necessary signage letting your guests know what ingredients your cake contains. We’ll provide plates, napkins and a knife if required. Our party packages include a cupcake tower with candles free of charge which makes a perfect alternative to a cake and is included in the price.
