Our wonderful team of performers are on hand to encourage children to explore through play and to take part in our story of the day. Whilst they will always keep an eye on children inside the role play village parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision of their child throughout their time with us.

Our play sessions last for 2 hours including time entry and exit. As soon as everyone is comfortable our team of talented performers will start the story of the day. Children are welcome to enter the role play village as soon as they have there shoes off.

Whilst we find our feet, we are not currently offering children’s birthday party packages. Rest assured they are on the list so keep checking back for up to date information. If you would like to be notified about when birthday party bookings become available subscribe to our mailing list here.

Of course anyone who is celebrating a birthday is more than welcome to join us during one of our daily play sessions.

Yes we do! We have a large car park right next to Discovery Village that is free for our visitors to use. You will be required to register your vehicle on arrival at Discovery Village so please make sure you know your vehicle registration number.

Discovery Village closes completely between each play session. This allows our team to clean, tidy and reset the role play village and Village cafe so it is ready for our next set of visitors, just as it was for you. The end of your play session will be symbolised by our team encouraging your children to take part in our tidy up song before they bid them a farewell.

If you are looking to enjoy some delicious food here with us then please make sure you order this within your play session times. Our kitchen closes 30 minutes before the end of each play sesion.

A child (don’t forget them!)

For health, safety and hygiene reasons outdoor footwear is not permitted within the role play village. Please bring a pair of socks as these must be worn at all times.

You will need your E-Ticket that you would have received by email at the point of booking. Our team on the day will scan the QR code on this ticket to allow entry. We can scan this ticket on your mobile device so there is no need to print your ticket out.

Unfortunately not, with the exception of baby formula and baby food.

Our wonderful Village Cafe offers a delightful selection of food and drink. Hot food, sandwiches, delicious cakes and snacks are all available to order from our menu. So whether you are after a pastry and a barista-style Fairtrade hot drink or a sandwich and salad (or chips) we’ve got you covered.

We welcome breastfeeding.

Yes, Discovery Village is fully accessible for those who require a wheelchair. There is flat level access, wide walkways and accessible toilet facilities. If you need any more information ahead of your visit to us then please get in touch with our friendly team. Our vision is for Discovery Village to be accessible to all.

Wherever possible please leave your buggy, pushchair or pram at home. Our car park is only a short walk from our play centre. We understand that this isn’t always possible so we do have a dedicated buggy park in our entrance area. For health and safety reasons buggies, pushchairs and prams are not permitted within the cafe or role play village.

Yes we do. Adults are charged at £2.50 each and are limited to two per booking. We limit our capacity for a more enjoyable experience for both children and adults.

Due to the nature of our play sessions pre-booking is essential. We limit capacity to ensure that every child who visits has the space they need to explore and play. (It also makes it more enjoyable for the adults too!). Tickets can be purchased through our website.

Discovery Village has been carefully designed with children who are 7 years and under in mind. Our role play zones are filled with toys, costumes and activities that we think babies, crawlers and walking children will all love. Our costumes within each play area are suitable for children up to the age of seven. We do not set and upper age limit as we understand that every child is unique and that some may enjoy our wonderful play area beyond this age. Babies in arms under 12 months are free when accompanying a paid child ticket.
