A Heart-Warming Mother’s Day Celebration
This Mother’s Day, Discovery Village invites families to come together for a joyful, meaningful celebration filled with baking, creativity, and springtime magic. Inspired by the charm of The Great British Bake Off and a traditional Spring Fayre, this special event is designed for children to celebrate the special adult in their life — whether that’s a mum, grandma, auntie, carer, or someone else they love dearly.
Families will be welcomed into our beautifully decorated role play village by Winnie Whiskwell, a loveable, slightly dotty master baker who travels the country judging baking competitions and spreading happiness through sweet treats. Winnie believes the best moments are made when families create something together — and she can’t wait to host this very special baking celebration at Discovery Village.
Bake, Create & Celebrate Together
A 2-Hour immersive experience Led by Winnie Whiskwell, children and their special adult will take part in the Discovery Village Baking Competition, an interactive, story-led experience full of laughter, music, and magical moments.
During the session, families will:

Decorate their own cake and biscuit together

Help to colour in a giant Mother’s Day mural

Work as a team to create the Village’s Biggest Cake!

Enjoy unlimited play in our Spring Fayre–themed role play village

At Discovery Village, every child is a winner. Each child will proudly receive a rosette sticker and a bunch of spring flowers to gift to their special adult. A beautiful way to say thank you and I love you.
A Special Day Out for the Whole Family
This is a premium, small-group event, with limited places to ensure a relaxed, high-quality experience where families can truly connect. Advance booking is essential.
While children immerse themselves in play and baking, families can also enjoy our lovely on-site café, serving excellent coffee and a delicious menu. Choose from breakfast favourites such as breakfast brioches, fresh pastries, and avocado on sourdough, or join us for lunch with jacket potatoes, toasted sandwiches, warming soups, and children’s options including our much-loved beautiful picnic plate.
