Do I need to book soft play sessions in advance?
We strongly recommend booking your play session in advance of your visit to avoid disappointment. We limit our capacity to give each child the space they need to explore.
What age is Discovery Village suitable for?
Discovery Village is suitable for children aged between 1-8 years who love imaginative play. Unlike a soft play, our indoor play centre gives every child the chance to explore at their own pace.
Can I bring a birthday cake?
Absolutely! Anyone booking one of our party packages is more than welcome to bring their own birthday cake. We understand that birthday cakes are a personal part of any child's birthday party. Please be mindful of allergens and display any necessary signage letting your guests know what ingredients your cake contains. We'll provide plates, napkins
Do siblings need a ticket?
Yes, all children entering Discovery Village require a ticket. Siblings will need to be counted within the party capacity if they wish to attend as a party guest. If not a standard ticket can be purchased through our website. Please note that only children with a ticket are permitted to enter Discovery Village. Children over
Are children supervised?
Our wonderful team of performers are on hand to encourage children to explore through play and to take part in our story of the day. Whilst they will always keep an eye on children inside the role play village parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision of their child throughout their time with us.
How long is a play session?
Our play sessions last for 2 hours including time entry and exit. As soon as everyone is comfortable our team of talented performers will start the story of the day. Children are welcome to enter the role play village as soon as they have there shoes off.
Do you do children’s parties?
Yes! Discovery Village is the perfect children’s party venue in Dorset. We have party packages to suit a range of party sizes from our mini-celebration package for up to 8 children and our gold party package for up to 15 children through to our exclusive hire options.
Do you have free parking?
Yes we do! We have a large car park right next to Discovery Village that is free for our visitors to use. You will be required to register your vehicle on arrival at Discovery Village so please make sure you know your vehicle registration number.
Can we stay after our play session?
Discovery Village closes completely between each play session. This allows our team to clean, tidy and reset the role play village and Village cafe so it is ready for our next set of visitors, just as it was for you. The end of your play session will be symbolised by our team encouraging your children
What do i need to bring with me?
A child (don't forget them!) For health, safety and hygiene reasons outdoor footwear is not permitted within the role play village. Please bring a pair of socks as these must be worn at all times. You will need your E-Ticket that you would have received by email at the point of booking. Our team on
